Target Pests: Thrips, Mealybugs, Spider Mites, Scale, and Aphids
Description: Lacewing larvae are generalist predators that feed on thrips, mealybugs, spider mites, scale, and aphids. It is very rare for lacewing larvae to mature to their adult stage when used indoors as our homes don't provide adequate nutrition or the proper environmental conditions. They are excellent for active infestations, but you can use them preventatively as well.
Indoor Life Expectancy: 10-14 days
Plants Treated:
1k: approx. 20-30
5k: approx. 100+
Application: The bottle contains approximately 1,000 lacewing larvae in a husk substrate, and you pour the substrate onto the soil of your plants. It’s the best lacewing option for beginners because application is quick and easy, and it’s unlikely that you will even see the lacewings because they are very small and difficult to differentiate from the dark husks.
Tip: If growing in pon, leca, or other semi-hydro setups, pour the substrate onto a small cardboard platform or into a release box rather than directly onto the growing medium for easier cleanup.
